Benjamin Lawson hooks By William Tabb Benjamin Lawson Hooks was natural January 31, 2925. He was the 5th child out of s yet children born to Robert and Bessie black-and-blue Hooks in Memphis, Tennessee. His family was considered middle set during those days. His father was a photographer and owned his own picture taking studio. After graduating from law school, he met his wife, Francis Dancy. She was a school teacher. She was impressed with him being so good smell and smart.
